Bangladesh got off to a good start in the second ODI of the India-Bangladesh series. Bangladesh batted first and scored 271 runs in 50 overs for the loss of seven wickets. Mehidy Hasan Miraz’s maiden ODI century was the batting excellence of Bangladesh to get a good score. In the second ODI, India made two changes, with Axar Patel replacing Shahbaz Ahmed and Umran Malik replacing Kuldeep Sen.
Young Indian pace bowler Umran Malik rattled Shakib Al Hassan with his pace in the very first over. Umran Malik’s first ball of the next over sent Najmul Hossain Shanto back to Pavlin.
Umran Malik bowled a 151 km/h ball that Najmul Hossain Shanto took off-stump. Shanto attempted to defend Malik’s delivery but was bowled due to the ball’s speed. Najmul Hossain Shanto, Bangladesh’s opening batsman, scored 21 runs off 35 balls.
