Sunrisers Hyderabad, the 2016 IPL champions, have made significant changes to their squad ahead of the IPL 2023 mini-season. To everyone’s surprise, SRH released captain Kane Williamson. Sunrisers Hyderabad retained captain Kane Williamson last year for 14 crores. Hyderabad finished eighth in the previous two IPL seasons under Kane Williamson.
Sunrisers Hyderabad also released West Indies captain and batsman Nicholas Pooran. SRH currently has the most money on the purse (42.25 crores) ahead of IPL 2023 Auction. Sunrisers Hyderabad needs to acquire 13 players, including 4 foreign players, for a total of 42.25 crores.
