Watch: Sreesanth celebrated in emotional way after getting his first Ranji wicket in 9 years.

Everyone will remember Sreesanth’s catch in the 2007 World cup that guided India to their first T20 Title, This time the former Indian fast bowler is in the news because of his emotional celebration in this year’s Ranji Trophy, playing for his state team Kerala after a gap of almost 9 years, Sreesanth was very emotional when he took his first wicket in the game against Meghalaya.

In the second game for Kerala, S. Sreesanth dismissed Meghalaya batsman Arya Bora during the 1st innings and celebrated it by doing the full stretched “Pranam” to the wicket which is touted as respect in Indian culture. Sreesanth bowled a bouncer to Arya Bora which was too difficult to handle and the bowl took the edge of the bat and was pouched safely by Vishnu Vinod giving Shreesanth his first Ranji wicket after 9 years. He also dismissed Chengkam Sangma in the next ball in the same style to get his second wicket of the match, He was not able to pick further any wicket in the second innings.

As far as the game is concerned Kerala won the match quite easily by an innings and 166 runs, Kerala opted to bowl on a green wicket where they bowled out Meghalaya for just 148 runs in the first innings thanks to Eden Apple for his 4 wickets, in response Kerala posted a huge total of 505 for 9 in their 1st Innings in which the openers scored centuries and added 201 for the first wicket and then Kerala bowlers made Meghalaya surrendered for 191 runs in their second innings and getting a huge win for their team. This was also Kerala’s second win of the season Kerala will now face Madhya Pradesh in their third game of the season.

Last month Sreesanth did not find any buyer for him in the IPL Auction but as he said he will continue to try hard even at the age of 39 to revive his cricketing career which was abandoned by the match-fixing saga, Sreesanth was one of the best fast bowlers during his time for the Indian team as he always showed his value during the away tours but a comeback at this stage of his career for the Indian Team is quite impossible but an IPL contract is still possible for the veteran.
