Indian opener Ruturaj Gaikwad dismisses a groundsman who came to take a selfie with him. The incident took place during the last match of the T20 series against South Africa.
One of the ground staff arrived to take a selfie with Gaikwad while he was in the dugout as the game was delayed due to rain. He tried to take a selfie while sitting next to Gaikwad. Gaikwad, reluctant to pose for a selfie, dismissed the groundsman. As the footage went viral on social media, fans came to support and criticise Gaikwad.
While some fans commented that they could have protested without pushing the groundsman, another said that the fault was on the part of the groundsman and that it was wrong for the ground staff and others to use mobile phones during the game under ICC rules.
