England’s batting collapsed after Rohit Sharma decided to bowl in the first ODI against India at The Oval. The hosts lost the wickets of Jason Roy, Joe Root, Ben Stokes and Jonny Bairstow in the first six overs. At the same time, England’s top three batsmen were dismissed for ducks. Team India’s bowlers dominated, but in the midst of all this, Team India’s wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant also robbed the fair.
First, Mohammed Shami dismissed Stokes from round the wicket with a brilliant nip-back delivery that hit the inside edge of the bat and Rishabh Pant took a brilliant catch with his right hand.

After a few overs, Pant again showed the fire as Bairstow completely missed the length delivery of Bumrah. An outside edge came off Bairstow’s bat and keeper Rishabh Pant dived to his right to take another superb one-handed catch.
