Cheteshwar Pujara’s return to the Indian national Test team was a disappointment. Pujara, one of the four Indian batsmen to play for Leicestershire in the warm-up match, was bowled out by Shami. After dismissing Pujara, Shami jumped up and hugged Pujara from behind.
Pujara returned to the crease in the sixth ball of the innings. Pujara came in to bat at number three for Leicestershire. Pujara could not repeat his explosive form in county cricket.
Pujara was dropped from the series against Sri Lanka after continuing his poor form. The player has not scored a century since 2019, and Pujara was dropped from the squad after the series defeat against South Africa.
Pujara scored 720 runs in five matches in the county, including a double century. After this, Pujara was recalled to the Indian team for the only Test.

I want to inform you that the only Test match between India and England will start on July 1. This match is the 5th Test match of last year’s Pataudi Trophy series postponed due to the increasing infection of Corona. Team India is currently leading in this series with a 2-1 lead. This match is also going to have an impact on the points table of the World Test Championship.
