Dramatic scenes on the first day of the Tamil Nadu Premier League. The inaugural match was between Chennai Super Gillies and Nellai Royal Kings. On the first day of the sixth season, CSG star N Jagadeesan sparked controversy. Jagadeesan, who plays for CSK in the IPL, came back with his middle finger raised when he came out through Mankading.
The incident occurred during a match between defending champions Chennai Super Gillies and Nellai Royal Kings. The incident took place in the fourth over of the game. Baba Aparajith came into bowl the fourth ball and was Mankading Jagadeesan from the non-Strikers’ end. With this, Jagadeesan lost control and made an obscene gesture, which sparked a big controversy.
The ICC recently legalized the Mankading runout. The rule is that if a non-striker leaves the crease before the bowl is released, the bowler can dismiss him. Moreover, such dismissals have been brought within the ambit of the runout.
Therefore, Aparijith’s run-out against Jagadeesan is legally allowed. However, the fans were outraged by the behaviour of the star. While leaving the crease, Jagadeesan repeatedly made obscene gestures by pointing his middle finger at the bowler and the opposing team.

Even before the dismissal, off-spinner Aparijith had issued a warning to Jagadeesan. Jagadeesan, who came out of the crease, quickly backed down during the bowling run. But before Jagadeesan could take it seriously and bowl again, Aparijith was Mankaded when he came out of the crease of a non-striker.
N Jagadeesan is facing a lot of criticism and ridicule on social media. Some have even demanded that the star be banned. Earlier in the IPL, Ashwin dismissed Jos Buttler with a similar runout.
