With the improvement in the quality of bats in world cricket, it doesn’t occur frequently that a bat gets broken while playing pacey deliveries. One big gain for CSK is Ruturaj getting some good runs today to ease top-order woes. Rolled the clock back with some of his superb shots. Theekshana again did a fantastic job in the powerplay, so those are the two excellent positives out of this game for CSK. It will be more interesting to see if Wade returns once Hardik is back. With the shortage of runs, Vijay Shankar is under a lot of pressure of losing his spot too. But whatever said Gujarat Titans have shunned quite a few with their brilliant performances thus far. Not many spoke so much of them after the auction. Now they are a team to compete. A team that knows their limitations and plays to their strengths.
