WATCH: Kieron Pollard becomes a spinner in the Trinidad T10 Blast! Also takes a wicket

All of us are well acquainted with Kieron Pollard’s hard hitting and medium pace bowling ability. Besides that, the Windies limited overs skipper is also known for his sensational fielding performances. But in the ongoing season of Trinidad T10 Blast, we got to see a different side of the Windies skipper too.

Pollard who plays for Scarlet Ibis Scorchers, was seen bowling off-spin against Soca Kings recently. In the fourth over of the Scoa Kings innings, Pollard bowled opener, Leonardo Julien, with his spin bowling. Before which, Scoa Kings opener Sunil Narine and Leonardo Julien had scored 45 runs in the first three overs. Just when the move was turning into a failure, Pollard took the wicket of opener Leonardo Julien in the penultimate ball of the fourth over. Leonardo tried to smash the ball towards the on-side but he eventually missed it and the ball went through the gates. Pollard did not concede any runs in the final ball and finished the over with figures of 1/10.

Although Pollard provided the first blood for Scorchers, their bowlers eventually ended up leaking a lot of runs as Scoa Kings posted a mammoth total of 150/3 on the board at the conclusion of all 10 overs. Earlier, Scarlet Ibis Scorchers won the toss and elected to field first in the third match of the 2022 edition of Trinidad T10 Blast.

In response to the total, skipper Kieron Pollard who came to bat at No.3 fell off Ravi Rampaul’s bowling. He only managed to score 8 off 6 deliveries. Nicholas Sookdeosingh’s unbeaten 26 balls 53 did not help his side as they were restricted to 80/3 at the end of eight overs.

Scoa Kings won the bout by 42 runs by the Duckworth Lewis method in the end.

Despite all this, we might see Kieron Pollard bowling off-spin for Mumbai Indians in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League which is starting later this month.
