In adorable visuals, Indian women’s players were seen playing with Pakistan’s captain Bismah Maroof’s baby. The Visuals were captured after today’s World cup game between Indian and Pakistan Women at Mount Maunganui which was comfortably won by team India.
After the game, a few of the Indian players were seen playing with Pakistani’s skipper baby in the Pakistan dressing room to meet the six old month baby.
Cricket fans all around the world lauded the dedication and passion of 30-year-old Maroof, who traveled to New Zealand for the World cup with her six-month baby. Fans are praising Maroof while they are also loving the Adorable baby. This warming scene after the game between two arch-rivals India and Pakistan is the best example of sportsman spirit. Indian Players also clicked pictures with the adorable 6-month baby and uploaded them on social media which has gone viral now.
As far as the game is concerned It was the first game for both the teams in the 50 over World Cup, In which India won the toss and opted to bat but the start was not as good as they would have liked and they lose Shefali Verma early. Despite a Half-century from Smriti Mandhana India were reeling at 114 for 6 at one stage but thanks to Sneh Rana and Pooja Vastrakar, the two batswomen showed Excellent courage in their 100 run partnership for the 7th wicket, While Rana scored 53 off 48 balls, Vastrakar top-scored for her side with 67 off 59 balls thanks to them India managed to post a good enough target of 244/7 on the board.
In the chase, Pakistan never got going and folded up for just 137 in 43 overs giving the Indian team a 107 run victory in the first game of their World cup campaign. After this game, India will now travel to Hamilton to play against the host New Zealand on the 10th of March while Pakistan will play against Australia on the 8th of March.
